Jolly Day
One of the original founders of the Texas Professional Farriers Association is a fifth generation farrier, C.B. Jolly.
C. B. celebrated his 80th birthday in December at his home in Alvin, Texas. Long time friends and colleagues in the Farrier business, Tom Steiffel and his family organized a gathering of C.B.’s friends and fellow farriers this past weekend in Alvin, Texas. There were approx. 25 to 30 people in attendance. We visited and reminisced from 10;00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
There were plenty of , ” Do you remember when” stories and recognition of the above and beyond time and help that C.B. so freely shared with all of us. It makes you stop and think how fast time passes.
Don’t forget to make the time to visit old friends before you can only wish you had.

How great to see C.B. Jolly’s name come up! I remember him so well, but I haven’t seen him in years. I am sure that he is one of those people who is 80 years “young” and will never be old! Thanks, Ron!
